Demolition Debris Removal in Longview, TX

Demolition produces the heaviest, most mixed material we handle. Sizing it properly is the whole job.

Roll-off container collecting bulky debris at a loading dock in Longview, Texas

Demolition debris is the hardest material to size for, because it is simultaneously bulky and dense and the ratio changes as the work progresses. Interior strip-out is light and voluminous: drywall, cabinetry, flooring, trim. Structural demolition is the opposite: block, concrete, footings, tile. Most real demolition jobs move from the first to the second over a few days.

The way to handle that is planning, not guessing. On anything beyond a small outbuilding we will talk through the sequence with you and set up a container plan that changes as the job does — often a large can for the strip-out phase and a small one for the masonry.

Demolition work in Gregg County

The demolition work we see locally is dominated by a few types. Shed, porch and deck removal is enormously common across the 1980s and 1990s subdivisions, and it is almost entirely concrete and screen frame — heavy, and best handled in a dedicated small container. Mobile and manufactured home removal is frequent in the Lakeport, Warren City and rural Gregg parcels. And interior strip-outs run constantly across the rental market out toward White Oak.

Two cautions specific to older Texas properties. Anything built before roughly 1980 may contain asbestos in floor tile, mastic, pipe lagging or textured ceiling — that requires a licensed abatement contractor and cannot go in our containers under any circumstances. And demolition of a structure generally needs a permit from the City of Longview or Gregg County depending on your parcel, separate from anything to do with the container.

What goes in — and what cannot

Accepted material

  • Block, brick and concrete (dedicated container)
  • Structural timber and framing
  • Drywall, plaster, lath and ceiling material
  • Floor tile, brick and screed
  • Cabinetry, fixtures and fittings
  • Porch slabs, steps and screened porch frames
  • Roof structure and sheathing
  • Mixed non-hazardous demolition debris

Never accepted

  • Any material containing asbestos
  • Lead-painted material without proper handling
  • Contaminated soil
  • Underground storage tanks
  • Liquids, fuels and hydraulic fluid
  • Refrigerant-charged equipment
  • Electrical transformers and ballasts
  • Tyres, batteries and cylinders

If you are unsure, ask before you load it. Prohibited material found in a load costs far more to deal with after the fact than a thirty-second phone call costs now. Gregg County runs household chemical and white goods drop-off at the US 259 site for most of what we cannot take.

Sizing this job

10 or 15 yard where masonry and concrete dominate; 30 yard with swaps for mixed structural demolition.

How the booking works

  1. 1

    Call and describe the job

Tell us what you're clearing and where you are. Shanice Odom or a dispatcher will size it with you in about three minutes — no forms, no waiting on an email quote.

  2. 2

    Lock in a flat rate

You get one number that covers delivery, the rental period, pickup, and disposal up to your weight allowance. We tell you the overage rate up front so nothing lands on your invoice later.

  3. 3

    We deliver and protect

Our driver calls ahead, lays boards under the rails on driveways and pavers, and sets the can exactly where you want it — doors facing the work.

  4. 4

    Fill it, we haul it

Load to the fill line, call when you're done, and we pull it. Most loads run to the Pine Hill Landfill on the edge of town, and every load leaves here tarped — that is state law, not a preference.

Answers

Demolition Debris Removal — common questions

Do I need a permit to demolish a structure?
For anything structural, almost certainly — from the City of Longview Development Services Center if you are inside city limits, or Gregg County if you are not. That is separate from the container. Sort the demolition permit first.
How do I know if there is asbestos?
You do not, without testing, and in Texas a pre-1980 building should be assumed suspect until surveyed. Asbestos abatement is a licensed activity and abated material goes through a specific waste stream. We cannot accept it, and neither can a standard C&D facility.
Can concrete and general debris go in the same container?
It is better if they do not. Mixed loads containing significant concrete get priced at the higher mixed-debris rate and hit weight limits fast. Two containers — one clean concrete, one mixed — is usually cheaper overall.
What size for a pool deck removal?
A 10 yard, sometimes a 15 for a very large deck. Concrete is dense enough that a bigger container simply cannot be filled legally. If a screened porch frame is also coming out, that aluminium goes separately and is often worth scrap value.
Can you keep containers moving on a multi-day demolition?
Yes. Swap-outs are standard on demolition work. Tell us the programme and we will schedule them so the crew never stops.
